Southern Stars Quilt Guild

Childnet - November 2014

Southern Stars Quilt Guild Inc. was formed in 1985 with only 6 members. Our goal is to preserve the art of quilting through programs, workshops, lectures and demonstrations.

Demo Day at Stirling Road Library - October 2014

We welcome members of all skill levels and offer many opportunities for learning and growing of quilting talents. Our meetings kick-off with a pot-luck dinner and socializing. A short business meeting is followed by members show-n-tell, and then a program, which may be a lecture, demonstration, a “make-n-take” project, a quilty game, or other quilt related activities. Visitors are always welcome.

Our activities include an annual Guild challenge, block of the month, fat quarter drawings, name tag drawings, fun-filled field trips, intriguing workshops, annual charity projects (in addition to the BQE raffle quilt) and any other worthwhile activity a member should choose to spearhead.

We are a small active guild where everyone has a voice and we welcome new ideas along with new blood – just keep it off the quilts!
